Verify system prerequisites before building or deploying SplitPay contracts and client applications.

Client & Web Requirements

Smart Contract Development Requirements

Required only if compiling, testing, or deploying the Soroban contract in splitpay-contracts:

Rust: 1.80.0 or higher. Install via curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -sSf https://sh.rustup.rs | sh
WASM Target: rustup target add wasm32-unknown-unknown
Stellar CLI: Version 22.0.0 or higher.

# Install stellar-cli via cargo
cargo install --locked stellar-cli --features opt
# Verify installation
stellar --version
# Add the official Stellar Testnet network configuration
stellar network add \
  --global testnet \

Wallet Requirements

For browser interactions, install the Freighter Wallet extension available for Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Edge from freighter.app. Enable Experimental / Testnet mode in settings.
